KVP: DC Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how the KVP: DC application ("App") collects, uses, and shares information to facilitate official data validation and management within the Tuberculosis (TB) control program.
1. Information We Collect
We collect and process official program data necessary for district-level oversight and validation:
- Official User Data: We collect information about the authorized District Coordinator user, including name, official designation, contact information, and an optional profile picture.
- TB Screening Data: The App accesses the full dataset of screening records, including demographic details, location data, and test results, which were originally collected by the KVP: Volunteer application.
- Validation and Audit Trail Data: We record all validation actions, including which records were validated, the date and time of validation, and any edits or corrections made by the District Coordinator.
- Location Data: We collect the user's precise ($ACCESS\_FINE\_LOCATION$) and approximate ($ACCESS\_COARSE\_LOCATION$) location during app use for official auditing purposes, verifying the officer's presence while performing validation duties or managing records in the field.
2. Permissions Required and Why

INTERNET/ACCESS_WIFI_STATE
To enable secure network communication for accessing, validating, and submitting corrected screening data, and to check network status.
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION/ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION
To record the geographical location of the officer while performing data validation/audit tasks for accountability and audit trail purposes.
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE/CAMERA
To allow the officer to select a photo from their device or use the camera to set or update their official profile picture.
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
For writing files/images to storage (older Android versions).
POST_NOTIFICATIONS/ACCESS_NOTIFICATION_POLICY
To send essential operational alerts, validation deadlines, or reminders, and potentially manage Do Not Disturb settings for critical notifications.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED
To ensure app processes (like secure data sync or notification services) start correctly after a device reboot.
3. How We Use Information
Your data is used strictly for official public health administration and auditing:
- To provide the District Coordinator with access to volunteer-entered screening data for review and validation.
- To enable the editing of records for correction of discrepancies, maintaining data integrity.
- To track the performance and compliance of the District Coordinator with validation requirements (e.g., the 10% minimum check).
- To establish an audit trail for all data modifications and validation activities, linking actions to the verified officer and location.
4. Data Security and Sharing
- Access to the App is strictly limited to authorized District Coordinators via secure credentials.
- All data handling, transmission, and storage comply with the official security protocols of the governing public health program.
- The data collected and validated is shared only with the designated centralized public health server/database for the TB elimination program.
- We do not share any data collected through this official App with non-official third parties for commercial or marketing purposes.
5. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy. You will be notified of any significant changes through the App or official communication channels.
